In order to draft well or accurately judge a player’s value, you need some sort of ranking system. So at Roto Planner, we did that for you. Each segment of the Planner’s Draft Tiers Guide will feature a different position and give some insight to what players I’m bullish on and what players I’m avoiding.
With a tier based system, we don’t necessarily rank players by number. We group players together that we feel will produce on a similar level. You can use these tiers to help you create a numbered ranking system, give auction values based on your league’s budget, or even move players from one tier to another based on your individual preference.
Over the next few days we will be posting the position by position tiers to help you get ready for your drafts and auctions. The first position of tiers we will be looking at, is starting pitching. Then the order will go as follows: catcher, first base, second base, third base, shortstop, outfield, and relief pitcher.
The Roto Planner team hopes you enjoy the guide. Good luck with your drafts and auctions.
