Let’s focus on the main slate, which starts at 7:00pm. Make sure you check any weather concerns and starting lineups ahead of time. I’m going to give you my favorite plays of the day at each position and my favorite stacks of the night.
Starting Pitchers
David Price – has looked really good so far. This will be his first tough test.
Masahiro Tanaka – anther player who has started strong, Red Sox are dangerous and Tanaka isn’t as good on the road.
Marco Estrada – Just needs to contain Baltimore’s offense and he should get plenty of run support.
Zack Wheeler – Miami is terrible
Catcher
Wilson Contreras – always big upside here, but it will cost you.
Gary Sanchez – He’s been struggling but has hit well against Price.
Russel Martin – Blue Jaysbats should be play tonight
Jorge Alfaro – Phillies offense is rolling and that shouldn’t stop tonight.
Martin Maldonado/Rene Rivera – who ever starts, use them. Matt Moore is awful
First Base
Albert Pujols – stack those Angel bats
Carlos Santana – Philly looks good tonight.
Justin Smoak – I think he goes yard tonight against Gausmann
Justin Bour – once he gets going, look out. He hit 2 homeruns last night.
Second Base
Zack Cozart – Angels will crush Moore and a terrible Texas bullpen.
Yangervis Solarte – Toronto bats are in a good spot tonight.
Scott Kingery – Keep playing Philly bats.
Cesar Hernandez – Should be hitting at the top of this lineup, which means an opportunity to put up some nice numbers.
Third Base
Mike Moustakas – He’s heating up, play him while he’s hot and before everyone else catches on.
Scott Kingery – eligible at 3rd base too
Josh Donaldson – Also predicting Donaldson going yard tonight.
Maikel Franco – Not a bad option at 3rd but would rather pay down and get Kingery in that same offense.
Zack Cozart – Angels bats are hot.
Shortstop
Andrelton Simmons – He’s hot just like his teammates, take advantage.
Yangervis Solarte – Should get a lot of opportunities hitting around Donaldson and Smoak.
Didi Gregorius – Has had great success against Price.
Outfield
Mookie Betts – Hottest hitter in baseball
JD Martinez – Has owned Tanaka in the past.
Justin Upton – More Angle bats
Mike Trout – Expensive, but should crush Moore.
Rhys Hoskins – Another hot bat and the Phillies’ offense is hot.
Shohei Ohtani – Facing the gas can Matt Moore.
Giancarlo Stanton – Has good batter versus pitcher numbers against Price.
Odubel Herrera – Play your Phillies
Steve Pearce – I like him at the top of the Toronto order.
Kole Calhoun – Should benefit hitting behind Trout, Upton, and Pujols against Moore.
Chris Young – If he plays, he hits lefties well.
Favorite Stacks
Toronto
Los Ángeles Angels
Philadelphia
Yankees (could be very under owned)
