I am going with a classic line up tonight. With a loaded slate scheduled for the 7:05 tonight, I have to jump on this.
Here is how I spent my $50,000 on Draft Kings.
P: Jon Lester, Cubs at Reds ($7,700): Lester is an affordable option tonight and he has history pitching at the Great American Ballpark. The Reds are playing better but I like Lester in this match up.
P: Jacob DeGrom, Mets vs. D-Backs ($9,800): DeGrom only threw 45 pitches in his last start. He should be fresh tonight against a D-Backs team that is having a tough time at the plate.
C: Buster Posey, Giants vs. Rockies ($3,800): Posey has quietly had a good season despite the Giants inconsistent play as a team. Kyle Freeland has good stuff but he has control issues. Posey will take advantage of that at home.
1B: Hanley Ramirez, Red Sox vs. Orioles ($4,300): Alex Cobb got lit up by the Red Sox the last time he pitched at Fenway. Han Ram homered off of him and I am hoping he does the same tonight.
2B: Cesar Hernandez, Phillies at Cardinals ($3,900): Hernandez has been a key contributor for the Phillies thus far this season and a big part of their start to this season. He is currently averaging 8.9 points per game in DFS. At under four grand, Hernandez is a terrific value.
3B: Evan Longoria, Giants vs. Rockies ($3,400): Longoria is starting to come alive at the plate. It took him a while to get acclimated to playing in San Francisco but he is starting to get comfortable offensively and could be a consistent producer.
SS: Marcus Semien, A’s at Blue Jays ($3,800): I really like Semien against the Blue Jays this weekend. Rogers Centre is a band box. Semien has good power and can drive the ball to all fields. I expect him to have a good night at the plate.
OF: Ronald Acuna Jr. Braves vs. Marlins ($4,300): I think this is short money for a cross category producer like Acuna. Especially against Dan Straily and the Marlins.
OF: J.D Martinez, Red Sox vs. Orioles ($5,300): Martinez is destroying the ball right now and a match up against Alex Cobb is too good to pass up.
OF: Marcel Ozuna, Cardinals vs. Phillies ($3,400): I only had $3,500 left to spend so I rolled the dice on Ozuna at home against Jake Arrieta. Ozuna has to eventually get going at the plate right?
