German Marquez has a nice match up tonight at home against the D-Backs and their struggling offense.
It is Friday and you know what that means? Classic line up time! I like the match ups tonight, especially on the pitching side. Here is how I spent my $50,000 on Draft Kings.
P: German Marquez, Rockies vs. Diamondbacks ($5,800): Marquez is a great value at home against the struggling D-Backs. With an ERA over four, Marquez is not a guy I would buy on but he is tonight.
P: Chris Sale, Red Sox vs. White Sox ($11,100): Sale actually lost in his only home start to the White Sox last season. Despite that, he pitched very well and was a tough luck loser. Something tells me he’ll be fired up to face his former team tonight. He is worth the price.
C: Wilson Ramos, Rays vs. Mariners ($3,600): I am on the Ramos train until further notice. The match-up against Miguel Gonzales is nice and that is why I am staying with Ramos for the week.
1B: Justin Smoak, Blue Jays vs. Orioles ($4,300): Smoak has returned to his 2017 form over the course of the last two weeks. He is finally starting to hit the ball again. He is a great play this weekend against an awful Orioles rotation.
2B: Starlin Castro, Marlins at Padres ($3,600): Castro has been consistently good at the plate, especially at home. I like the Marlins line up as a whole tonight against Eric Lauer, the Padres starter.
3B: Anthony Rendon, Nationals vs. Giants ($3,900): It took Rendon a while to get going thanks in large part to a slow start and injuries. Well, he’s hitting now and he has a juicy match up tonight at home against Giants starter Andrew Suarez.
SS: Jose Peraza, Reds vs. Cardinals ($3,900): Pretty good value here. Peraza is a sneaky point producer, especially at home. The home runs won’t be there but he can hit singles and doubles and steal bases.
OF: Bryce Harper, Nationals vs. Giants ($5,400): I am treating myself tonight. It is not often that I pick up Bryce Harper. Love that match up against Andrew Suarez.
OF: Matt Kemp, Dodgers vs. braves ($4,500): Whose hotter than Matt Kemp?? NOBODY!!! I know, I tapped into my inner Harbaugh there but it’s true.
OF: Justin Upton, Angels at Twins ($4,300): J-Up versus Lance Lynn is very appealing to me despite the fact that Lynn is pitching better.
