Fantasy Football: NFL DFS Main Slate: Week 2

By: Jared Leonard | @JaredLeonard77

It’s week 2 and we’re going to give you the plays to help you cash in your DFS contests. We’re focusing on the main Sunday slate, which includes the 1pm games and the 4 pm games. Now, let’s look at our picks for this week and good luck.

Quarterbacks:

There is a lot of great options at QB this week. You can pay up here, or pay down. With a lot of variety, you can go in so many directions with your lineups. Big Ben has huge upside this week and I think Cam and Stafford will be low owned plays.

Drew Brees

Ben Roethlisberger

Cam Newton

Deshaun Watson

Pat Mahomes

Matt Stafford

Jimmy Garoppolo

Case Keenum

Running Backs:

You have to love Kamara and Gurley a the top this week. James White could be in for a big week and I love Duke Johnson to be in the game a lot this week with Cleveland most likely playing from behind in New Orleans. Melvin Gordon is my favorite play of the week and McCaffrey should catch a lot of passes this week against a Falcons team that can’t cover backs out of the backfield.

Alvin Kamara

Todd Gurley

Melvin Gordon

Christian McCaffrey

James Conner

Adrian Peterson

Matt Breida

Isaiah Crowell

James White

Duke Johnson

Alfred Morris

*TJ Yeldon- late add. Will get the bulk of the touches with Fournette out. Patriots D gives up yardage to backs.

Wide Receivers:

I love both Steeler Receivers this week and feel you can roster them in the same lineup. Emmanuel Sanders is in line for another big week in week 2 and Mike Wallace will go for a 50+ yard TD this week.

Antonio Brown

Michael Thomas

DeAndre Hopkins

Tyreek Hill

Adam Thielen

Stefon Diggs

JuJu Smith-Schuster

Jarvis Landry

Emmanuel Sanders

Nelson Agholor

Kenny Stills

Demaryius Thomas

Pierre Garcon

Kenny Golladay

Mike Wallace

Tight Ends:

Great options at the top and some sleepers at lower price points. I usually pay down at tight end, but if I were to pay up, I would go with Reed. Love Njoku this week, again, Browns should be playing from behind for the majority of this game.

Rob Gronkowski

Zach Ertz

Travis Kelce

Jordan Reed

George Kittle

Jared Cook

Ben Watson

David Njoku

Ricky Seals-Jones

Defense:

Can always pay up here, but I always choose to find a cheap home team that can return good value. Love the Vikings this week if Rodgers doesn’t play and I think the Redskins have sneaky upside.

Rams

Chargers

Broncos

Saints

Redskins

Vikings

*Texans- late add. Titans offense looks bad and 2 of their offensive lineman are out. Love this defense today.
