It’s week 12 and we’re looking to get back on track here at Roto Planner. Last week was disappointing, especially at the wide receiver position. Unfortunately, we can’t win every week but we’re going to make sure that you have the right plays this week to cash. So let’s take a look at this weeks plays. Remember to keep up with last minute news and to check back here for any updates.
Quarterbacks:
There are a lot of options to go to at QB this week. My favorite play of the week is Jameis Winston. He gets a great matchup against a 49ers defense that ranks in the bottom 3rd in pass defense and is playing for his career as a starter. My favorite cheap play of the week is on the other side of this 49ers-Bucs game. Nick Mullens is getting a great matchup against the Bucs defense, but I would only use him in tournament play.
Cam Newton
Andrew Luck
Jameis Winston
Carson Wentz
Phillip Rivers
Eli Manning
Russell Wilson
Nick Mullens
Running Backs:
My favorite play of the week is Joe Mixon. Teams have run all over the Browns and the Bengals should focus on giving Mixon the ball a ton today. My favorite cheap play is, Josh Adams. The Giants defense is awful and Adams looks more and more like the lead back in Philadelphia. I like him to get 15+ carries this week and feel confident that he’ll get in the end zone. Also, keep an eye on Ekeler this week. Melvin Gordon is banged up and Ekeler could see more snaps than usual. He could be a great tournament option.
Melvin Gordon
Sequon Barkley
James Conner
David Johnson
Joe Mixon
Nick Chubb
Matt Breida
Marlon Mack
Josh Adams
Austin Ekeler
*Gus Edwards- Alex Collins is inactive, meaning Edwards is the lead guy this week.
Wide Receiver:
I love Beckham this week. Eli has looked a lot better in the second half of the season and Odell has greatly benefited. I see that continuing this week against an awful Eagles secondary. My favorite cheap play of the week is, Tyler Lockett. Baldwin is banged up with a groin injury and Lockett should benefit from that. Plus the Panthers pass defense is suspect and is susceptible to big plays.
Odell Beckham
Antonio Brown
Mike Evans
Keenan Allen
Julian Edelman
Emmanuel Sanders
Sterling Shepard
Tyler Lockett
DJ Moore
Adam Humphries
Curtis Samuel
Tight Ends:
My favorite play of the week is George Kittle. Both Goodwin and Pierre Garcon look like they are out for today’s game and that means Kittle should see 10+ targets against a terrible Bucs’ defense. My favorite cheap play is Cameron Brate. OJ Howard is out for the rest of the season and Brate steps in to full time snaps. The other positive here is Winston is back as the starting QB and he loves targeting Brate.
Zach Ertz
George Kittle
Rob Gronkowski
Greg Olsen
Vance McDonald
David Njoku
Cameron Brate
Jeff Heuerman
Defense:
The choices at defense this week are plentiful. My favorite play is the Bills going up against a terrible Jaguars’ offense. I also like Philadelphia and Denver this week as cheaper options playing at home.
Jaguars
Chargers
Ravens
Colts
Bills
Eagles
Broncos
