It’s playoff time in fantasy football. Here are ten players you should add for the stretch run.
1. Jaylen Samuels, RB, Steelers: James Connor could be sidelined for a couple of weeks which makes the versatile Samuels a must start. Samuels is definitely a flex start this week and could be an RB2 play this week against the Raiders.
2. Jeff Wilson Jr. RB, 49ers: Wilson has taken over as the primary ball carrier in San Francisco for the time being and his versatility makes him at least a flex play this week. Wilson caught eight passes last week which means he could put up big numbers in DFS formats.
3. Justin Jackson, RB, Chargers: Jackson burst onto the scene last week against the Steelers and carved a bigger role for himself as a result. The shifty Jackson is a good back who can make people miss and is reliable target in the passing game. Jackson has a quality match up at home this week against the Bengals.
4. Bills D/ST: Buffalo has a juicy match up at home against a struggling Jets offense. Sam Darnold is starting for New York but it will not matter. Buffalo should get plenty of pressure and force the Jets into mistakes.
5. Chris Godwin, WR, Buccaneers: Godwin has been productive scoring double digit fantasy points in seven games this season. He has the make up of a starting receiver and as long as DeSean Jackson is out, he is a great play. Even if Jackson plays this week, Godwin has flex appeal.
6. Ian Thomas, TE, Panthers: Thomas is now the man in Carolina who will replace Greg Olson. Those are big shoes to fill but the rookie tight end has the size and the skill set to be a favorite target of Cam Newton’s down the stretch. Especially in the red zone.
7. Dante Pettis, WR, 49ers: Pettis has gone off the past two weeks and looks like a legit WR2 or flex moving forward. The 49ers might not be winning but they continue to produce consistent fantasy producers like Pettis. If he’s on your waiver wire, pick him up! Pettis is a must own.
8. Saints D/ST: On paper the Saints have a favorable match up against the Bucs but it seems like every time these two teams get together, it is a shootout. New Orleans has scored double digit fantasy points in their last four games. Based on that, I am willing to give them a shot this week.
9. Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos: With Demaryius Thomas gone and Emmanuel Sanders out for the season, Sutton is a must own. The Broncos are hoping Sutton blossoms and turns into a number one receiver. He will have every opportunity to do that now and it could be to your benefit.
10. Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Chiefs: Sammy Watkins will be out for the next four to six weeks with a foot injury. The beneficiary of that will be the newly signed Benjamin who gives the Chiefs some much needed size on the outside. Benjamin is worth picking up and stashing. He could pay dividends in weeks 16 and 17.
