Here some waiver wire adds to consider for Week 14.
Kevin Huerter, SG, Atlanta Hawks: Huerter has been a revelation for the Hawks in recent weeks. He is high volume shooter who takes 13 shots per game including six three pointers per game. As of Monday, Huerter was owned in 31% of Fantasy leagues.
Austin Rivers, PG/SG, Houston Rockets: Rivers is carving out a role for himself with the Rockets. Since being acquired by Houston, Rivers has played 12 games. He’s started the last nine. Over that span, he’s averaged 39.1 minutes, 14.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 0.9 steals, and 2.9 three-pointers. That is some serious production but with Chris Paul slated to return soon, Rivers minutes and production will dip. Ride the way until then.
Alec Burks, PG, Cleveland Cavaliers: Coming into this week, Burks was averaging 29.3 minutes, 13.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.7 blocks in six starts. That is top twenty guard production from a fantasy standpoint. The Cavaliers are awful so Burks will get plenty of minutes on a nightly basis and will fill up the stat sheet. Until he gets traded anyways.
Reggie Bullock, SF, Detroit Pistons: The Pistons have struggled of late but Bullock has been one of the few bright spots. Coming into this week, Bullock has been averaged 32.8 minutes, 14.5 points, 3.3 three-pointers, 2.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1 steal in his last four games. Bullock is a versatile scorer who can take it to the rack and shoot the ball. If you are looking for a valuable bench piece, Bullock is worthy of consideration.
Derrick White, PG, San Antonio Spurs: Spurs point guards have traditionally produced because Gregg Popovich runs a guard friendly offense where they can take shots and distribute the basketball. White has been a beneficiary of the Spurs system. White is average 12.6 points per game in his last six games coming into Wednesday night. He is also averaging 3.5 assists per game during that span. The numbers aren’t eye popping but if you need a guard on your bench, consider adding White.
