Avs forward Carl Soderberg has been one of the lone bright spots lately for Colorado.
Here’s our NHL DFS lineup for today. There are some nice match ups for some high end scorers on the schedule.
C: Nico Hischier, Devils vs. Wild ($5,800): Hischier is starting to pick it up offensively in the past month. He has become a quality, affordable DFS play.
C: Carl Soderberg, Avs at Islanders ($5,700): Soderberg has been the Avs best offensive player in recent weeks and that’s saying a lot considering the depth of Colorado’s line up. Soderberg is averaging 3.0 points per game in DFS but he will be tested against a good Islanders defense.
W: Andreas Athanasiou, Red Wings at Sabres ($5,600): The speedy Athanasiou is a terrific DFS play right now with Dylan Larkin out of the line up. He is centering a line with Gus Nyquist and Justin Abdelkader so the point potential is there.
W: Patrik Laine, Jets at Senators ($6,000): Laine has run hot and cold at times this season but he has a great match up against the defensively challenged Senators.
W: James Van Riemsdyk, Flyers vs. Ducks ($5,000): JVR will get plenty of opportunities in this game especially against a Ducks defense that lacks the physical presence to clear Van Riemsdyk from around the paint area.
D: Rasmus Dahlin, Sabres vs. Red Wings ($5,000): Dahlin has been a solid DFS play thus far in his rookie season. He has a terrific match up against a Red Wings team that takes a lot of penalties and gives up a lot of shots. Power play opportunities abound!
D: Shayne Gostisbehere, Flyers vs. Ducks ($5,100): The Ducks are struggling mightily (get it?) these days so the Flyers are a terrific play today. The G53 could get on the score sheet on the power play.
G: Carter Hart, Flyers vs. Ducks ($8,100): The Flyers have won 8 of 9 and Hart has been a big reason for that. He has a 2.40 GAA and .925 save percentage in that span. Hart is a must play against a Ducks team that is struggling to score.
UTIL: Jake DeBrusk, Bruins vs. Kings ($3,600): The scrappy forward has 14 goals on the season and while he has struggled of late, he is a good play against a Kings defense that lacks a physical presence on the blue line.
