There is a quality slate of games on the schedule tonight. I really like a lot of the match ups, particularly in the early games. Here is my line up for tonight.
C: Jespari Kotkaniemi, Canadiens at Predators ($3,500): The Finnish rookie is in a groove right and is getting more minutes as a result. Kotkaniemi has a quick release and can score from any area in the offensive zone. He is playing at a high level right now and a worthwhile DFS play.
C: Jonathan Toews, Blackhawks vs, Devils ($6,700): The Blackhawks got doubled up by the Bruins on Tuesday night. Toews didn’t register a point but he has scored three goals in his last six games. The veteran center has had a nice bounce back season. He has 25 goals and 31 assists through 57 games. At this price, Toews is a worthwhile play in DFS.
W:Viktor Arvidsson, Predators vs. Canadiens ($7,300): Arvidsson is on fire. He has been for over a month now. He has four goals in his last four games. Spending $7,300 is a bit juicy for a winger but when they are as hot Arvidsson and have a quality match up, you play them.
W: Alex DeBrincat, Blackhawks vs. Devils ($6,700): DeBrincat has scored four goals in his last five games. Another than Patrick Kane, The Cat has become the Blackhawks most consistent offensive threat. The Devils are bottom third in the league in most defensive categories so whenever you get a goal scorer like DeBrincat matched up against them, you play him.
W: Vladimir Tarasenko, Blues at Coyotes ($7,000): Tarasenko has been a disappointment this season but he has turned it on of late and spearheaded the Blues late season revival. Tarasenko has four goals in his last five games and is finally playing like the sniper that he is. I really like this match up against a Coyotes defense that lacks a physical presence.
D: T.J Brodie, Flames at Panthers ($4,000): Brodie has emerged as the Flames best offensive defenseman in the second half of the season. He has 7 goals and 22 assists on 21 minutes of ice time per game. He is a +25 which makes him a solid cross category play in DFS.
D: Jake Gardiner, Maple Leafs at Golden Knights ($3,700): I went cheap here because I had to. I don’t love Gardiner but I do think this will be a wide open game so there is a good chance he gets on the score sheet if this turns into a shootout.
G: Jonathan Quick, Kings vs. Canucks ($7,700): Not crazy about playing Quick considering he has given up 3 or more goals in four of his last five starts. He is facing the Canucks for the first time this season, so he could bounce back. Quick went 2-2 against Vancouver in four starts last season, giving up seven goals.
UTIL: Anthony Cirelli, Lightning vs. Stars ($3,400): I ran out of money and decided to go with a player on the Lightning. Tampa leads the league in goals so why not. Cirelli has scored twice in his last three games.
