The Bruins host the Tampa Bay Lightning at TD Garden tonight in what could be a playoff preview. Tampa Bay knocked the Bruins out of the playoffs last season.
The Bruins are the hottest team in the NHL having won 11 of their last 12 games. As always, they are tough to beat at home.
This match up offers a lot of scoring upside. There is a lot of firepower in both line ups so you shouldn’t have a problem formulating a line up. Here is our line up for tonight.
RW Yanni Gourde, Lightning ($7,800)
C David Krejci, Bruins ($8,600)
RW Nikita Kucherov, Lightning ($11,800)
LW Brad Marchand, Bruins ($9,700)
RW J.T Miller, Lightning ($6,400)
D Charlie McAvoy, Bruins ($5,500)
Line up thought process: My line up though process is simple. I think this going to be a high scoring game so I wanted to maximize my scoring potential whether it be via goals or assists. Yanni Gourde offers good third line value and has scored three goals in his last five games. Nikita Kucherov is the NHL’s leading scorer and is averaging 15.9 points per game in DFS. J.T Miller scored against the Rangers last night and is another player who gets time with the Lightning’s top two lines. He has scoresheet potential tonight.
As far as my Bruins selections, I went top line heavy. The Bruins rely on their top two lines to carry them offensively. David Krejci has played well of late and is the distributor on the Bruins top line with Brad Marchand. Both will get on the score sheet in some capacity tonight. Charlie McAvoy has scoring potential on the Bruins power. He scored Tuesday night against the Sharks and is getting in a groove.
