Today futures some great pitching match ups and hitter versus pitcher match ups. It could be a good day. Here is our line up.
P: Jon Gray, Rockies at Marlins ($9400): Gray makes his season debut against a light hitting Marlins line up that doesn’t really have a power threat. Gray is one of the best plays of the day.
P: Trevor Williams, Pirates at Reds ($8,800): I paid for Williams yesterday but the Pirates and Reds were rained out. Well, they are playing today and I am looking for Williams to pick up where he left off last season when he went 14-10 with an ERA of 3.11.
C: John Hicks, Tigers at Blue Jays ($3,500): The Tigers have struggled offensively thus far but the Blue Jays top three starters have pitched in this series already which bodes well for the Tigers.
1B: Pete Alonso, Mets at Nationals ($3,800): Alonso has hit the ball well in the first two games of this series and he is showing good plate discipline. He has a tough match up against Patrick Corbin but Alonso’s plate coverage makes him a desirable play against a lefty starter.
2B: Kolten Wong, Cardinals at Brewers ($3,900): Wong has gone 6 for 10 with two home runs and four RBI against the Brewers in the opening series of the season. You ride him until he isn’t hot anymore.
SS: Jose Peraza, Reds vs. Pirates ($3,900): It’s cold in Cincinnati which means the Reds are going to play some small ball today and run. Pereza could have a productive day if he gets on against Trevor Williams. Williams doesn’t throw hard and he’s slow to the plate.
3B: Yuli Gurriel, Astros at Rays ($3,900): I really like the match up against Yonni Chirinos for Gurriel. Chirinos struggles with his command at times and finding the strike zone. That bodes well for Gurriel.
OF: Charlie Blackmon, Rockies at Marlins ($4,900): Chuck Nasty and the Rockies have hit the ball well to start the season. Blackmon has a terrific match up against young Marlins hurler Sandy Alcantara who throws hard but has a hard time locating his pitches.
OF: Tommy Pham, Rays vs. Astros ($4,300): Pham is off to a terrific start. He can get you points in so many ways and he is off to a good start hitting .333 so far on the season with 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases. Pham is a solid cross category producer which makes him a great DFS play.
OF: Christian Yelich, Brewers vs. Cardinals ($5,500): Come on. Like most guys, I am riding this train all the way home. Yelich is too hot not to play right now.
