Justin Verlander has a great match up against a strike out happy Seattle line up.
The first full night of baseball is upon us. There are some intriguing match ups tonight. Here is my DraftKings DFS line up of the night.
SP: Justin Verlander, Astros vs. Mariners $11,400: Verlander struggled with some injuries during spring training but he is fully healthy and a great play tonight against a swing and miss subpar line up like Seattle’s.
SP: Aaron Nola, Phillies vs. Marlins, $9,100: Nola has a great match up against an improved but still limited line up in the Marlins. Nola has great stuff and can keep a line up off balance with his off speed stuff.
C: Salvador Perez, Royals at Indians ($3,700): Perez is healthy and a quality power opinion despise having a tough match up Shane Bieber.
1B: Rhys Hoskins, Phillies vs. Marlins ($4,300): Hoskins is a great power option at this price. Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara has good stuff but he has a tendency to leave the ball over the plate.
2B: Rougned Odor, Rangers vs. Rockies ($4,100): Odor is like finding $20 bucks in your pocket in DFS. He’s an affordable play that offers a lot of upside but he can be very frustrating.
3B: Manny Machado, Padres vs. Diamondbacks ($4,000): Machado didn’t have a typical Manny Machado season last season in his first season in San Diego. He has a better line up around him so I think he is poised for a big season in a shortened MLB season. He will be a consistent DFS play.
SS: Brandon Crawford, Giants at Dodgers ($2,800): A throwaway play. I spent heavy at the top so I needed to save money. Crawford has been productive in his career against the Dodgers so it’s not a bad play.
OF: Andrew Benintendi, Red Sox vs. Orioles ($3,800): I went strictly match up with my outfield. I love Benny against soft throwing Tommy Milone tonight. The power doesn’t always show up with Benintendi but he gets on base.
OF: Jason Heyward, Cubs vs. Brewers ($3,400): Brendan Woodruff is a tough match up for Heyward but Jay Hay is a grinder and can consistently hit the off speed stuff. That makes him a solid on base play tonight.
OF: Josh Reddick, Astros vs. Mariners ($3,400): Reddick is a solid power play in DFS. He doesn’t consistently play but when he does especially at home, he is a solid source of power. Especially against a soft tosser like Mariners starter Marco Gonzales.
