Line-Up Breakdown: I like Tyler Mahle match up at home against the lowly Washington Nationals and their struggling line up. Shohei Ohtani at home against a tough but free swinging Royals line up is very appealing. If nothing else, you know that he will hit double digit strikeouts and is worth the high end cost.
Rangers catcher Jonah Heim has been raking of late and is a worthwhile play. The Rangers line up as a whole right now is taking. Jake Cronenworth is finally starting to heat up and is a nice, affordable option at $3,500 dollars. He has disappointed thus far like the rest of the Padres line up but he is starting to get hot. Adam Frazier is a pure value play especially against Michael Lorenzen and the Tigers struggling rotation. Frazier is a good play all weekend long. Jeimer Candalario is a protection play. If the Natties hit Mahle, you want to have a couple of their bats in the line up. Ahmed Rosario is a quality nightly play and he’s always going to be affordable because he’s never going to hit enough home runs to be pricey.
Went cheap in the outfield but I like the production. Austin Hays is a good play against the Tigers. He has been one of the Orioles most consistent hitters to start the season. Stone Garrett is a value play and protection in the event that Mahle implodes. I am the President of the Hunter Renfroe fan club. Sure, he strikes out a ton but when he’s hot, he’s hot and right now he’s hot.
