I am going with a classic line up today. I’ve 50K to spend on Draft Kings and here is how I used my allotment.
P: Jeremy Hellickson, Nationals vs. Padres ($8,000): I love the match up against the free swinging Padres. Hellickson is averaging 16.1 points per game in DFS.
P: Vince Velasquez, Phillies vs. Braves ($7,800): Velasquez was terrific in his last start. There is some risk here against a Braves line up that is one of the best in the National League but at this price, I had to take the chance.
C: Yan Gomes, Indians at Cubs ($3,400): Gomes is an affordable source of power against Tyler Chatwood.
1B: Carlos Santana, Phillies vs. Braves ($4,200): Santana has been what I thought he might be in a Phillies uniform thus far. Plenty of RBI’s but lackluster power numbers and no batting average. I do like the Brandon McCarthy match up tonight however.
2B: Gleyber Torres, Yankees at Rangers ($4,100): This kid is a superstar in the making. He is absolutely tearing the cover off the ball right now and I expect him to stay hot against the crafty lefty Cole Hamels.
3B: Eugenio Suarez, Reds vs. Pirates ($4,200): I bet you didn’t know Suarez has been one of the most productive hitters in the National League thus far this season. Well, he has. He has 32 RBI on the season and I love the match up against Jamison Taillon tonight.
SS: Julio Iglesias, Tigers at Twins ($3,400): Went cheap here. I like the match up against Lance Lynn.
OF: Andrew Benintendi, Red Sox at Rays ($4,700): Benny has been swinging a hot bat of late. The power has finally started to come around. I think he stays hot against the Rays.
OF: Aaron Judge, Yankees at Rangers ($5,400): I don’t care that the Yankees are facing Cole Hamels tonight. New York has hit 14 home runs in their last three games. Judge will get his.
OF: George Springer, Astros vs. Giants ($4,900): Springer crushes the ball at the Juice Box. I like playing Springer in home series and that’s why I picked him for tonight.
