Get on the Ramos train. He’s raking right now in the middle of the Rays line up.
It’s a busy get away day in baseball but I went all in with 7:05 starts. All ten games during that time slot offered intriguing potential so that’s where I spent my money. I over spent on Max Scherzer. The match up against the Orioles was too appealing to pass up.
Here is how I spent my $50,000 on Draft Kings.
P: Max Scherzer, Nationals at Orioles ($13,900): Mad Max certainly didn’t come cheap but if the match up is right and you are looking to rack up the pitching points, you can’t do much better than this.
P: Julio Teheran, Braves vs. Mets ($7,600): I like Teheran’s strikeout potential at home against the Mets. My only concern? He gives up a lot of home runs at home.
C: Wilson Ramos, Rays at A’s ($3,300): Ramos is the Rays best power hitter and has been crushing the ball of late. A match up against the struggling Sean Manaea is very appealing.
1B: Ryon Healy, Mariners vs. Rangers ($3,300): Healy is an affordable power source at home against scuffling lefty Matt Moore and the Rangers. Healy hits left handed pitching well.
2B: Zach Cozart, Angels at Tigers ($3,200): Cozart hasn’t hit as expected with the Angels but that’s not a surprise considering the fact that his offensive numbers were inflated playing in the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. He’ll face Mike Fiers tonight however. I like the match up.
3B: Maikel Franco, Phillies at Dodgers ($3,500): Franco can be inconsistent but he is a quality source of power at this price. Dodgers starter Ross Stripling has been good lately but something tells me Franco could have a good night against him.
SS: Jurickson Profar, Rangers at Mariners ($3,500) I went for value here. I don’t really like the match up against James Paxton but Profar is a punch and judy hitter who can hit the ball all over the field and steals bags. He can get you sneaky points.
OF: Carlos Gonzalez, Rockies vs. Giants ($4,000): Car Go has finally awaken!! O.K, I am being dramatic but Gonzalez is starting to hit and a match up against Derek Holland at Coors Field is too good to pass up.
OF: Mitch Haniger, Mariners vs. Rangers ($4,000): Swinging Mitch Haniger has 5 home runs and 12 RBI in 27 home games this season. He hits 30 points higher at home as well. Factor in that he is facing soft throwing Matt Moore and he is a no brainer tonight.
OF: Jorge Soler, Royals vs. Twins ($3,700): Soler averages 7.9 fantasy points per game on Draft Kings. He hits for average and power. All that adds up to him scoring some points tonight against Twins rookie Fernando Romero.
