For today’s daily line up, I went with a showdown match up between the Phillies and the Cubs on Draft Kings. I focused on offense as the Nick Pivetta versus Tyler Chatwood match up did not appeal to me.
Here is how I spent my $50,000.
Flex Line-Up
Kris Bryant, Cubs, 3B ($10,200)
Cesar Hernandez. Phillies ($9,600)
Anthony Rizzo, Cubs, 1B ($9,300)
Carlos Santana, Phillies, 1B ($8,400)
Kyle Schwarber, Cubs, OF ($8,000)
Brandon Morrow, Cubs, RP ($2,600)
Total Spent: $48,100
Line-Up Thoughts:Â As I mentioned earlier, I don’t like the Nick Pivetta, Tyler Chatwood pitching match up in this game. What appeals to me about this game is the two offenses. I think both line ups will hit the ball well today and put up good numbers. I went with a Cubs heavy line up which is risky considering Pivetta has pretty good strike out numbers this season (70 in 62 IP) but its getting warm in Chicago which means the ball is starting to carry more. Factor in that left handed hitters are hitting .342 against Pivetta at home and you can see why it was an easy decision to do a showdown match up today. I expect Carlos Santana and Cesar Hernandez to be both have good days at the plate against Tyler Chatwood. Chatwood has been a mess of late and could end up out of the Cubs rotation when Yu Darvish comes back.
