Chris Archer has a prime match up today against the Twins at Target Field.
Quality match ups abound on Draft Kings today. I went with a Classic game. Here is how I spent my $50,000.
P: Chris Archer, Rays at Twins ($7,200): I like the value here with Archer. Especially in a pitcher park like Target Field.
P: Chase Anderson, Brewers at Pirates ($7,200): Anderson can be a risky play especially at PNC Park but he always finds a way to produce despite the fact that his numbers don’t always look great.
C: Robinson Chirnos, Rangers at Orioles ($3,900): I am banking on Chirnos power. Sure he strikes out a ton but he has also has 11 home runs and 37 RBI which tells me he takes advantage of all parts of the field as a hitter.
1B: Edwin Encarnacion, Indians vs. Yankees ($4,900): Right handed power isn’t cheap in fantasy or reality but I really like the match up against Sabathia today. If Sabathia leaves anything over the plate, Easy Eddie could croak it.
2B: Jonathan Schoop, Orioles vs. Rangers ($3,900): Schoop is starting to hit and has a nice match up against lefty Martin Perez in this one.
3B: Maikel Franco, Phillies at Marlins ($3,900): Franco has hit the ball well at Marlins Park in his career. He homered last night against the Marlins. Franco has come around offensively in the past month and is a worthy play in DFS.
SS: Tim Anderson, White Sox vs. Royals ($4,400): Anderson is quietly having a terrific season offensively and has been a terrific DFS play all season long. A match up against lefty Danny Duffy makes him awfully appealing.
OF: Mitch Haniger, Mariners at Rockies ($5,200): Haniger has a tough match up against the big righty Jon Gray. Gray does throw a lot of fastballs and will leave on occasion leave one over the plate. If he does, Haniger can capitalize on it, especially at Coors Field.
OF: J.D Martinez, Red Sox vs. Blue Jays ($5,300): The best hitter in the American League right now versus Sam Gaviglio. I like it!
OF: Mike Trout, Angels at Dodgers ($4,800): I don’t remember the last time I spent under five thousand on Trout. It is rear for him to be this affordable in DFS. At this price and a match up against Alex Wood makes Trout a steal.
