We’re going with a classic line up on Draft Kings again today. Here is how we spent our $50,000.
P: Jose Berrios, Twins at Blue Jays ($10,000): Berrios has been better at home this season but a match up against the free swinging Blue Jays makes him a must buy tonight.
P: Carlos Rodon, White Sox at Angels ($7,300): The veteran lefty has pitched well since his return and a match up against the struggling Angels means Rodon will probably get you his average number of points tonight.
C: John Hicks, Tigers at Royals ($3,300): The Royals starting rotation is awful and Hicks is a good hitter who can hit for power and average. Sound play tonight for the cost.
1B: C.J Cron, Rays vs. Yankees ($4,100): The Rays have had the Yankees number this season and Masahiro Tanaka gives up home runs like it’s his job. All of this makes Cron a no brainer play.
2B: Asdrubal Cabrera, Mets vs. Padres ($4,100) Cabrera is the only guy in the Mets line up that is consistently hitting the baseball. A match up against soft throwing lefty Eric Lauer is very appealing.
3B: Eduardo Escobar, Twins at Blue Jays ($4,000): Escobar had a good night at the plate last night and I suspect he could repeat that performance against Jays starter Ryan Borucki who has been good for Toronto thus far.
SS: Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Blue Jays vs. Twins ($3,400): The younger brother of Yuli Gurriel can also hit as he proved last night going 2 for 4 with a home run. Gurriel could be a nice play moving forward in DFS. I like him tonight even though the match up against Jose Berrios is tough.
OF: Aaron Judge, Yankees at Rays ($4,900): It’s a bullpen start for the Rays tonight which makes all Yankees hitters are appealing, especially Judge.
OF: J.D Martinez, Red Sox at Orioles ($5,600): Martinez is back after sitting out Sunday. I like this match up, especially in Baltimore on a steamy July night.
OF: Gorkys Hernandez, Giants at Mariners ($3,100): All value here ladies and gentleman. Yeah the match up against James Paxton is scary but Paxton is coming off the D.L and Hernandez has hit the ball well this season.
