Marcus Stroman is a solid value today in DFS.
We went with a classic line up once again today based on the match ups. Here is how we spent our $50,000 on Draft Kings and why.
P: Jake Arrieta, Phillies at Padres ($8,400):Arrieta is a great value against the light hitting Padres at Petco Park. Arrieta has been on a roll lately which makes him a great daily fantasy value down the stretch.
P: Marcus Stroman, Blue Jays vs. Rays ($7,000): Stroman has been effective at home this season he faces a Rays lineup that has a lot of swing and miss hitters in it. Expect a 6 to 8 strikeout performance from Stroman today. He is a must play in DFS.
C: Andrew Romine, Yankees vs. Rangers ($3500): I love this matchup for Romine against lefty Martin Perez. Perez is notorious for hanging pitches over the middle of the plate. Romine has enough pop in his bat that he can make pay to left field.
1B: Joey Votto, Reds vs. D-Backs ($4,400):Votto is battling a knee injury but I like this match up against D-Backs starter Zac Godley. Godley tends to leave pitches up in the zone. Votto usually crushes those.
2B: Devon Travis, Blue Jays vs. Rays ($3,600): Travis’ recent power surge makes him a nice buy in DFS these days. If you are looking for a bargain, this is it.
3B: Miguel Andujar, Yankees vs. Rangers ($4,500): Andujar hit the game winning home run yesterday in the Yankees 5-3 win. He has hit lefties well all season long and has a nice match up against Martin Perez today.
SS: Paul DeJong, Cardinals at Royals ($4,000): Four grand is a lot for DeJong but I like the match up against Jakob Junis. That and a right handed power hitter like DeJong should do well this time of year in Kansas City.
OF: Ronald Acuna Jr. Braves vs. Brewers ($5,100): I have a feeling I’ll be playing Acuna a bunch down the stretch. I like the match up against a soft throwing righty like Chase Anderson.
OF: Avaisil Garcia, OF, White Sox: Avi Garcia is a good all around hitter who finds ways to get on base and provide power. He is a worthy play today, even against Carlos Carrasco.
OF: J.D Martinez, Red Sox at Orioles ($5,900): Do I really need to explain? Martinez hit two homers in last night’s game and faces Alex Cobb today. Enough said.
