Marlins SP Eury Perez has a prime match up against the Pirates on Sunday
It’s another busy Sunday slate on the MLB schedule. You have the 10 am tilt in London between the Cardinals and Cubs and you have a 12:10 match up between the Twins and Tigers. You also have 10 games in the 1:35 time slot.
Plenty of games to pick talent from. Here are my plays of the day.
Pitchers
Eury Perez, Pirates at Marlins ($8,500): Perez is 4-1 with a 1.54 ERA and 45 K’s on the season. He has a great match up against Pittsburgh at home.
Zach Wheeler, Mets at Phillies ($9,500): Wheeler is averaging 19.2 points per outing and has been good at home this season. A match up against his former should provide added motivation.
Corbin Burnes, Brewers at Guardians ($9,100): Burnes struggled in his last outing against Arizona but was very good in his previous four starts. Look for more that against the weak hitting Guards.
Aaron Civale, Brewers at Guardians ($7,700): If you’re looking for a cheap quality starter, Civale is a good play against the inconsistent Brewers offense at home.
Others
Yusei Kikuchi, A’s at Blue Jays ($7,100)
George Kirby, Mariners at O’s ($8,200)
Infield
Matt Olson, Braves at Reds ($6,300): Olson has scored double digit fantasy points in five of his last six games. He has six homers in his last eight games. He is taking right now.
Matt McClain Braves at Reds ($4,900): McClain has had back to back great games for the Reds and is a middle of the road affordable option that could produce.
Rafael Devers, Red Sox at White Sox ($5,500): Raffy against a White Sox opener? Yes please. Devers is worth ever Penny in this match up.
J.P Crawford, Mariners at O’s ($2,900): Crawford has been a solid fantasy producer in five of his last six games. At $2,900, he is a great value and allows you to spend elsewhere.
Others
Issac Parades, Royals at Rays ($4,300)
Andrew Vaughn, Red Sox at White Sox ($3,000)
Outfield
Ronald Acuna Jr. Braves at Reds ($6,500): Worth every penny when you look at his slash line. He gets you points in so many ways especially in Cincinnati where he could get you a bunch of points with the long ball.
Jake Fraley, Braves at Reds ($5,000): Fraley is an affordable option who has double digit points in his last four games. He has been a good fantasy option all season long.
Anthony Santander, Mariners at O’s ($4,400): Great value when you look at his recent production, Doubke digit points in four of his last five games. Santander is averaging 8.2 FPPG after a slow start.
Marcell Ozuna, Braves at Reds ($4,100): It is hard not to play guys in this series. Ozuna is a cheap outfield play who has produced of late and has a great match up against Levi Stoudt who has a 10.29 ERA as a starter.
Others
Esteury Ruiz, A’s at Blue Jays ($3,700)
Christian Yelich, Brewers at Guardians ($4,500)
