MLB DFS Plays for April 10

By: Jared Leonard | @JaredLeonard77

Let’s focus on the main slate, which starts at 7:00pm. Make sure you check any weather concerns and starting lineups ahead of time. I’m going to give you my favorite plays of the day at each position and my favorite stacks of the night.

Starting Pitchers

Chris Sale – Tough matchup against the Yankees but Sale can dominate anyone. If he locates his fastball tonight, he will dominate.

Jacob deGrom – He’s pitching against Miami, that’s it.

Stephen Strasburg – He’ll do his usual, 6 innings/6-10 K’s/2-4 runs. If his offense hits tonight, he’ll most likely get a win.

Luis Severino – If he can manage the 1st 4 hitters in the Sox lineup tonight, he will put up big numbers.

Carlos Martinez – If Cain is out, this Milwaukee lineup isn’t going to be as tough to get through and Carlos dominated just last week. Favorite pitcher $10,000+ tonight.

Patrick Corbin – Love the ballpark for him and the Giants offense isn’t very good. Really like Corbin tonight.

Aaron Nola – His offense should give him great run support tonight and the Reds are not hitting. Should dominate Cincinnati tonight.

Sean Manaea – Love this matchup against the Dodgers. Manaea has really good stuff and the Dodgers will struggle to hit him.

Mike Foltynewicz – Cheaper pitcher that could return solid results. May not get a win here but should contain the Nationals offense.

Jake Odorizzi – Pitcher under $6,000 that should be low owned and Houston hasn’t been hitting.

Tyler Skaggs – Texas isn’t very good and Skaggs should pick you up a win.

Catcher

Chris Iannetta – He’s been hot and he’s in Coors Field. I probably won’t be paying up for him.

Yadier Molina – Has better power against lefties and is consistent night in and night out.

Brain McCann – Owns Odorizzi, 13 for 28/3 HR’s/10 RBI. I’m playing him.

Russel Martin – Love Toronto’s lineup tonight.

Travis d’Arnaud – Mets should put up some runs tonight and d’Arnaud could be a sneaky play.

Jorge Alfaro – Homer Bailey is a gas can.

Austin Hedges – He has a lot of power and he is in Coors Field.

Martin Maldonado – Has been quietly good and Perez is awful.

First Base

Ian Desmond (1B/OF) – It’s Coors Field.

Paul Goldschmidt – The night he starts to hit, is the night he will win you a tournament. Is tonight?

Freddie Freeman – This guy just hits, regardless of who the starting pitcher is. Play him, he crushes Strasburg.

Justin Bour – He’s really cheap and he’s to good of a hitter to not be hitting.

Justin Smoak – Love the Blue Jays tonight.

Carlos Santana – The Phillies offense will continue to roll.

Eric Hosmer – Coors Field.

Matt Olson – Love Oakland’s offense against lefties

Albert Pujols – The Angels’ offense should crush Perez tonight.

Chris Davis – Baltimore’s offense could be a sneaky play tonight and Davis has great numbers against Sanchez.

Second Base

DJ LeMahieu – You can play anyone hitting in Coors field

Cesar Hernandez – Love the Phillies offense tonight.

Jonathan Schoop – Really like the Orioles’ lineup tonight.

Jose Altuve – It’s always difficult to leave his bat off the list.

Yangervis Solarte (2B/SS) – I really like the middle the Toronto lineup tonight.

Brian Dozier – Hits lefties well regardless of who it is.

Scott Kingery – Phillies offense looks great tonight.

Jonathan Villar – This play is strictly a batter versus Pitcher matchup.

Third Base

Nolan Arenado – He’s awesome and it’s Coors Field.

Josh Donaldson – The Blue Jays lineup is a great play tonight.

Zack Cozart (2B/3B)– I wouldn’t pay up for him, but he’s been hitting and the Angels offense looks good tonight.

Manny Machado (SS/3B) – I love the middle of the Orioles’ lineup tonight.

Maikel Franco – Homer Bailey is a gas can.

Tim Beckham (3B/SS)– I have a feeling the Orioles will hit tonight.

Travis Shaw – Has hit Martinez well in the past.

Todd Frazier – The Mets are sneaky tonight.

Shortstop

Trevor Story – Hitting in Coors.

Paul DeJong – I like the matchup and the power upside.

Freddie Galvis – Hitting in Coors.

Elvis Andrews – Has had a lot of success against Skaggs in the past.

Andrelton Simmons – I really like the Angels’ offense tonight.

Marcus Semien – I love Oakland bats against left-handed pitchers.

Outfield

Mike Trout – Play the Angels lineup tonight.

Charlie Blackmon – It’s Coors Field and Blackmon just hits.

Rhys Hoskins – Can’t go wrong with Philly bats in your lineup.

Yoenis Cepedes – Mets is a sneaky stack.

Khris Davis – This Oakland lineup loves seeing lefties on the mound.

Michael Conforto – Mets are in a good spot tonight.

Mookie Betts – He is the toughest out in baseball right now.

Carlos Gonzalez – Looked good last night and he loves hitting in Coors.

Justin Upton – Angels should crush Perez tonight.

Manny Margot – Not liking where he’s hitting in the lineup but Coors plays well for him.

Marcell Ozuna – Should see good things from the Cardinals offense tonight.

Adam Jones – Love both sides of this game.

Kole Calhoun – Should get plenty of RBI opportunities tonight.

Steve Pearce – If he leads off, he will score some runs tonight.

Trey Mancini – Leading of for Baltimore should result in run production tonight.

Andrew Benintendi – Has owned Severino in their short careers.

Chris Young – Has great batter versus pitcher numbers against Perez. Make sure he is in the lineup.

Favorite Stacks

Baltimore

Toronto

Los Ángeles Angels

Philadelphia

Oakland

Saint Louis

San Diego and Colorado will probably heavily owned, so I’m fading both teams. I’m going to pay up for pitching and use bats from the other teams I like.
